If you are anything like me, your training days suck and liters of coffee and PWO’s don’t help with jack shit. Here are few things that helped me:
Chewing bubble gum increases alertness and intellectual performance.
Why are fitness pros ignoring this? Sure, don’t chew bubble gum mid super set but during breaks? Why not. Even a fishermans friend does the trick, just don’t choke on the fucker.
“The results of this study showed that chewing gum increases alertness. In contrast, no significant effects of chewing gum were observed in the memory tasks. Intellectual performance was improved in the gum condition. Overall, the results suggest further research on the alerting effects of chewing gum and possible improved test performance in these situations.”
Thinking about movement as an objective to accomplish, it seems way more fun and mysterious than just (another stupid lift).
Word mindset is being beaten so hard and nearly lost it’s true essence, but it is still one of the biggest boosts that ever existed. The way you approach your day to day life means a lot and so do lifts.
Some lifters prefer to walk next to a bar / machine prior taking a lift for one simple reason ‘Adrenaline’, you could imagine as if your weights/exercise is your prey.
Fuckload of water with electrolytes.
Water regulates your body temperature and lubricates your joints. It helps transport nutrients to give you energy and keep you healthy. If you’re not hydrated, your body can’t perform at its highest level. You may feel tired, have muscle cramps, dizziness, or other serious symptoms. Drinks with electrolytes do help a ton, there more you get in yourself the better your results, especially during diet for valsava maneuver.
Why electrolytes? Well, anything that will keep your muscles filled instead of flushing it out in the toilet. During diet your glycogen stores should be empty, however if you are not dieting then you should be fine with regular water
- Glycogen binds with water molecules; flushing it away results in loss of “water weight”.
Mindset: Idk, check with your local shrink
Water: Literally same explanation on Wiki, yw.
